WEEKLY MINUTES

10/14/20

Initial Meeting

All teams had to present a status report PowerPoint to show progress and current issues preventing completion of the system. Deniz and Evan provided a detailed and well-articulated proposal on how to correct issues the team had been facing and where the root causes of dysfunction existed. Attached below is the team's presentation.

Professor Notash Meeting

11/20/20

The team had a meeting with Professor Notash early Friday morning, in which the team would discuss their questions, concerns, and progress made thus far. Questions included clear interpretation of the security clearance of the system with professor Notash. The team decided to go with 3 user set security settings, ‘Low Security’, ‘Medium Security, and ‘High Security’. In low security, only the PIR Sensor will be enabled for door operation. This is targeted towards users who own businesses  who want to ensure a safe and easy entrance for consumers. The medium security configuration would include the user to bring their RFID card within proximity of the RFID Reader. Once the RFID reader detects a correct key, it will then allow the user to have access to door operation such as Speech Recognition, RFID, and Web input. The High Security configuration will include the same features as the Medium Security configuration but will need both the correct RFID and correct verbal password in order for the user to gain access to door operation. The team also discussed with Professor Notash that for the presentation, the team will have the various methods of door operation played on video simultaneously while a team member is presenting their portion of the presentation. This allows the viewer of the presentation to see all the door operations within the time frame allowed of 30-35 minutes.
